Product Innovation Officer, Ongoing full time role based in Parramatta with hybrid working.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Innovation Officer to join the Business Taxes team within Revenue NSW.


This role forms part of the Business Taxes branch of Revenue NSW, which undertakes the administration of a number of state taxes, unclaimed money, and grants.

Business Taxes supports our customers to comply and undertakes compliance audits and investigations.


The Business Taxes Product, Quality and Innovation team is a new unit which supports Business Taxes through staff development, process and systems improvement and customer data analysis.

The team's goal is to provide innovative solutions to support quality and efficiency in the wider branch.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing, coordinating and developing updates of various digital contents, including Business Taxes web-content to ensure consistency, educate our customers and contribute to the continuous improvement of the business.
  • Developing learning and development and process improvement solutions to enhance best practice within Business Taxes
  • Assisting with training organisation through review of content, attendance keeping and bookings
  • Collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders to deliver learning solutions to individuals and groups within the business
  • Coordination and managment of the development of correspondence and report templates through the BI program to contribute to the branch's quality processes.
  • Assisting with coordination of corporate initiatives across the program

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • The ability to develop knowledge content that meets the needs of a diverse internal and external audience.
  • High quality written communication skills, including being able to prepare material that is well structured and easy to follow.
  • Experience in the administration of NSW taxing legislation and understanding of financial reports and audit techniques.
  • Deliver high quality and timely services while adhering to timeframes and being responsive to requests from multiple stakeholders.
  • Initiative, and be a selfstarter that takes accountability for their work, and is comfortable making decisions within their own discretion to deliver results.
  • Negotiating skills with the ability to gain support for change management from various stakeholders.

Salary Clerk Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $101,947 base plus superannuation
