About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Buyer and Merchandise Planning Specialist to join our team at Frontline Retail. As a key member of our buying team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our jewellery product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Execute Comprehensive Product Strategies

Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies, roadmaps, and pricing models to drive business growth and profitability.

Lead Product Lifecycle Management

Lead product lifecycle management from concept through to market launch, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams

Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and marketing teams to bring new, trend-driven jewellery collections to market.

Conduct Market Research

Conduct market research to identify customer preferences and emerging trends in the jewellery and luxury goods sectors.

Travel and Networking

Travel overseas up to four times a year to stay connected with global jewellery trends and innovations.

Track Product Performance

Track product performance and adjust strategies to drive profitability and success.

About You

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled individual with a strong background in retail (B2C) or manufacturing (B2B), ideally within the jewellery or luxury goods sectors. You should have:

  1. 10+ Years of Buying Experience

10+ years of buying experience, with a strong background in retail (B2C) or manufacturing (B2B), ideally within the jewellery or luxury goods sectors.

Commercial and Wholesale Buying Experience

Experience in commercial and wholesale buying, managing inventory, and leading end-to-end product portfolios.

Budget Management and Forecasting

Proven experience in managing budgets, forecasting, and partnering with key stakeholders such as the GM and Financial Controller to drive cost management and profitability.

Deep Understanding of Jewellery Industry

Deep understanding of gemstones, precious metals, jewellery fabrication, and supply chain management.

Passion for Fashion and Jewellery Trends

Passionate about fashion and jewellery trends with an eye for innovation.

Strong Communication and Negotiation Skills

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence key business decisions.
