This role provides an exciting opportunity to manage a small team of skilled practitioners providing strategic and operational industrial and employee relations services.

We are looking for a skilled, passionate and enthusiastic leader who can provide expert level advice and who works collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of exceptional HR services.

What you will be doing

  • Lead the delivery of effective industrial and employee relations strategy across the department.
  • Lead and manage the negotiation of enterprise bargaining agreements and coordinate related activities, including liaising with central agencies and consulting with staff.
  • Engage in high level negotiations with employee organisations in relation to specific industrial and employee relations matters.
  • Represent the department and performing advocacy in the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission. Lead research and preparation of highlevel correspondence including submissions, briefing notes, ministerial responses and information papers
