Position Overview

The Employee Engagement Officer is essential in cultivating a supportive and inclusive workplace culture. This role involves managing the recruitment process, offering assistance to all staff members, and building strong interpersonal relationships within the organization in alignment with Family Centered Support Services' standards while adhering to established policies and procedures. Staying updated on current HR trends and understanding Workers' Rights and Legislation is crucial for this position. The Employee Engagement Officer will directly support the Human Resources Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment and Selection:

  • Conduct initial phone screenings and interviews to evaluate candidate qualifications.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and specifications.
  • Organize and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring teams.

Documentation and Contracts:

  • Draft and distribute employment contracts and offer letters.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and organizational policies.
  • Maintain precise and current personnel records.

Onboarding:

  • Work alongside Area Administrators to facilitate a seamless onboarding experience for new employees.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Engage with department managers to enhance and streamline recruitment processes.
  • Effectively communicate with candidates and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal abilities, a solid understanding of human resources principles, and a sincere dedication to fostering a positive workplace atmosphere. Location

This role will primarily be based at our Bundamba Office, with potential for hybrid working arrangements following successful onboarding and probation.

Essential Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in Human Resources, particularly in internal recruitment.
  • Familiarity with Human Resource Management Systems (experience with ELMO is highly desirable).
  • Understanding of the residential care sector and applicable regulations.
  • Capability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster strong relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively in a team and independently.
  • Knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and derive meaningful insights for enhancing employee engagement.
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities to improve employee satisfaction and morale.
  • Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related field are highly desirable.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to provide two recent professional references upon successful interview.
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence (must be open or P2).
  • Licensed Care Service (LSC) check through the department, or willingness to obtain.
  • Current Blue Card, or willingness to obtain.
