Employee Relations Specialist

About the role
We're seeking a highly skilled Employee Relations Specialist to join our Employee Experience and Wellbeing team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our members and employees in making the most of their money.
In this role, you will provide expert advice and support to our People & Culture team and the organisation on complex employee relations issues, including performance management, discipline, injury and illness, long-term absence, restructuring, terminations, disputes, complaints, and investigations.
You will also be responsible for devising pragmatic solutions to complex queries, drawing upon your detailed understanding of employment law, operational priorities, and people management.
Additionally, you will undertake investigations and/or brief external providers as needed, and represent the organisation at tribunals and the Fair Work Commission.
This role is available as a permanent opportunity, and we're looking for someone who is a great communicator with top-notch interpersonal skills. You will be expected to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them.
About you
We're looking for someone with experience in a legal environment or in an employee relations specialist role within a medium to large organisation. You should have exposure to Enterprise Agreement negotiation and implementation for a medium to large organisation, as well as highly developed knowledge of employment legislation and the ability to conduct legal research.
You should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong case management experience, and the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
