About the role


In your new role, you'll be responsible for leading the development of renewables (Solar, Wind) and storage projects from concept through to a Financial Investment Decision (FID) under the strategic direction of the Growth Steering Committee and Head of Development.


Your day-to-day:

  • Lead Origins Renewable Development Projects from concept through to FID
  • Utilise technical skills and project management expertise to drive project outcomes
  • Developing and managing the project's budget and schedule up to FID, in coordination with various internal project stakeholders
  • Managing project risks and issues and take corrective measures where required;
  • Lead and undertake engagement with state based Authorities
  • Negotiating, sourcing, managing and utilising resources across opportunities with the Leadership Team;
  • Ensure developments meet Origin's operational, maintenance, safety, and stakeholder requirements.

Is this you?

Here's what we're looking for:

  • Demonstrated capability in Development Projects
  • Good understanding of Project management systems and tools, budgeting and resource allocation skills
  • Ability to travel to project sites
  • Knowledge of the National Electricity Market (NEM)
  • Significant experience in the energy sector and knowledge of energy technologies, trends and solutions
