POSITION SUMMARY 

Position Title: Business Development Manager

Position Summary: The Business Development Manager will work closely with the Managing Director & COO on 

all new business matters. You will be at the forefront of driving new business opportunities,

building key relationships, generating new leads, engaging with warm leads and contributing 

to our growth across Australia, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Asia. 

If you are service and growth minded, possess a background in high-rise builds and working 

with Tier 1 construction companies, and are ready to take on a role that combines initiative, 

follow-up and a hunger for success, this is the job for you. Alongside the leadership team, 

you will partner with the Managing Director to take best advantage of all opportunities and 

ensure that all sales budgets are met or exceeded. 

Salary  : $160k - $190k + 

Key Responsibilities 

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving sales and business development. 

Specifically, this role is responsible for helping the organisation grow brand recognition, open and develop 

relationships with new potential clients and ultimately drive sales and financial growth. You will seek out new 

clients in key markets, create introductions, meetings and proposals driving sales of our market leading 

products. You will partner with the Managing Director and leadership team, to identify new business 

opportunities and follow through on various opportunities, relationships and leads created as our MD travels 

to open up new markets, partnerships and clients.

The Business Development Manager must be able to work with a variety of leaders and leadership styles, to 

support the leadership group in achieving the best possible outcomes, aligned with business and financial 

goals.

Pinnacle are ‘Builders & Formworkers for Builders and Formworkers’.

advancement in the Tier 1 construction landscape

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele. 

You will be the front of the company andwill have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. 

The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through opening up new markets, boosting sales and forging 

strong relationships with clients.

Responsibility: 

Although the responsibilities of a business development manager may vary by industry, many day-to-day

duties are uniform. Some of those include: 

• Setting goals and developing plans for business and revenue growth 

• Researching, planning and implementing new target market initiatives 

• Researching prospective accounts in target markets 

• Pursuing leads and moving them through the sales cycle 

• Developing quotes and proposals for prospective clients 

• Setting goals for the business development team and developing strategies to meet those goals 

• Training business development staff and/or new distribution partners or representatives in various

geographic markets

• Working with the Directors to establish our import/export businesses and oversee the successful 

procurement required to be viable and cost-saving opportunities

• Attending conferences and industry events 

• Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customersatisfaction 

• Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs 

• Arrange and attend business meetings with prospective clients 

• Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives 

• Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherent to law-established rules and guidelines 

• Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc 

• Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support 

• Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers 

• Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople 

• Proactively follow up on inbound warm leads, ensuring timely engagement and nurturing 

relationships.

• Conduct face-to-face visits each month to establish a strong rapport with potential clients and 

understand their needs.

• Allocate at least 10% of your role to strategic cold calling, identifying and pursuing new business 

opportunities, in the early days of your role, this percentage will be much higher e.g. 50%.

• Drive the acquisition of new business accounts and strategically expand Pinnacle’s presence in our 

targeted markets. 

• Effectively manage and develop each new market identifying key prospects and opportunities.

• Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, competitors, and potential areas for business 

growth.

qualifications:
• Possess a strong background in Tier 1 construction, demonstrating a solid understanding of 
Jumpform.
• Experience in utilizing software/systems, with a focus on efficient process management and lead 
tracking.
• Display a hunger for success, actively seeking and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying and addressing business development opportunities. 
• Exhibit strong follow-up skills to maintain engagement with leads and convert them into successful 
partnerships. 
• Be willing and able to travel, with a focus on building face-to-face relationships for maximum 
efficiency in our global markets.
• Effectively manage and prioritize activities within multiple territories to achieve strategic business 
objectives. 
• Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role 
• Proven sales track record 
• Proficiency in MS office 
• Proficiency in English 
• Market knowledge 
• Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills 
• Ability to build rapport quickly in local and international markets
• Time management and planning skills 
• Qualification in construction, business administration,sales or relevant field // OR Tertiary qualification 
in Business or a related discipline
