D'Arcy Weil is representing a global leader in power management solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager specialising in Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) Distribution to join their dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
- Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive landscape in the MV/LV distribution sector.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand market share, increase revenue, and achieve business growth objectives.
- Client Acquisition: Identify, target, and secure new clients through effective networking, lead generation, and relationship building activities.
- Relationship Management: Maintain and nurture strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Sales Targets: Achieve and exceed sales targets and performance metrics by effectively managing the sales pipeline and closing deals.
- Proposal Development: Prepare detailed and compelling proposals, presentations, and bids that meet client needs and highlight the value proposition of MV/LV distribution solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering, product management, and marketing teams to align business development strategies with overall company objectives.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain deep knowledge of the company's MV/LV distribution products and services, staying updated on the latest advancements and technological innovations.
- Training & Development: Provide training and support to sales teams and channel partners to enhance their understanding and effectiveness in selling MV/LV distribution products.
- Market Expansion: Identify and develop new markets and regions for MV/LV distribution products, including evaluating potential partnerships and alliances.
- Budget Management: Manage budgets related to business development activities, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and return on investment.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends for senior management review.
- Compliance: Ensure all business development activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Customer Feedback: Collect and analyse customer feedback to improve product offerings and customer service.
- Event Participation: Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote MV/LV distribution solutions and network with key stakeholders.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in business development within the MV/LV distribution or related electrical engineering sectors.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certifications are advantageous.
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role with a focus on MV/LV distribution systems.
- Technical Expertise: Strong technical understanding of MV/LV distribution products and solutions.
- Sales Acumen: Exceptional sales, negotiation, and closing skills with a proven ability to achieve and exceed targets.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and strategic thinking.
- Customer Focus: Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining long-term client relationships.
