The Product & Commercial Team deliver competitive and sustainable product offerings and propositions across the Australian market through providing the data, insights and expertise across pricing, commercial and product capabilities. The team are ultimately accountable for the optimisation of our gross margin across our product offerings and work closely with the wider business to carefully balance this priority with acquisition, retention and cross-sell/upsell objectives that collectively make up the Customer Markets view of commercial performance.     

 

As the Senior Manager, Portfolio Growth & Retention, you will be responsible for delivering targeted campaign initiatives and digital experiences that balances retention targets with cross-sell and upsell ambitions across the existing customer base maximise profitability and customer lifetime value. You will also manage a cross-functional team of and support and promote opportunities to enhance the digital experience and customer journey for residential and SME customers, aligning with teams across Customer Markets. 

 

What you’ll be doing: 

  • Owning the Portfolio Growth & Retention marketing and customer experience strategy for initiatives, using data segmentation, modelling and analysis to inform campaign design, optimisation, digital service enhancements.   

  • Owning the integrated marketing plan for retention and value optimisation campaign activity across the cross-functional team, aligning with the proposition, performance and planning team to create one view of the go-to-market activity. 

  • Setting out objectives and targets for campaigns, customer experience and digital interactions in line with wider the retention and value optimisation objectives and monitor and optimise performance.   

  • Driving optimisation of the digital sales journey for existing customers, utilising analytics to identify and action improvements to digital platforms.   

  • Analysing, reporting and presenting results and actionable insights to drive continuous improvement across Portfolio Growth & Retention marketing activities. 

 

About you: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, economics, or a related field with experience in marketing analysis, preferably in the energy or regulated industries and proven experience in developing and implementing successful marketing strategies.  

  • Demonstrated ability to optimise decision-making logic for Portfolio Growth and Retention Strategies and experience in continuous improvement and optimisation of marketing strategies.  

  • Prior experience in managing end-to-end campaigns, including agency liaison and reporting on ROI, including proficiency in budget planning and financial management. 

  • Demonstrated success in driving customer retention initiatives, project management abilities for effective campaign execution and strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a date-driven approach.  

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills as well as strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
