You'll be responsible for
- Following the AAL Claims Management Process, adhering to policy contracts and agreed guidelines, ensuring timely, consistent, and transparent assessment, with all comments captured in the claims system.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislation affecting claims management, make liability decisions of increasing complexity, and coach team members to develop their capabilities.
- Managing a portfolio of claims from validation to finalisation within PCA authority levels, keeping clients informed as per communication requirements, and review and authorize payments for other team members.
- Managing claimant and stakeholder expectations and relationships, build positive internal team relationships, and tailor communication to suit client interactions.
- Ensuring compliance with the General Insurance Code of Practice, adhere to AAL phone standards, and provide timely and effective customer responses and accurate claims processing.
About you
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience as a Level 2 Claims Service Consultant.
- Candidates should meet specific technical capability and competence standards required for professional progression within AAL, including a portfolio of supporting evidence for AAL employees.
- Applicants need experience in managing highly complex claims processes and procedures across various general insurance lines within a complex, matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated experience in leading, coaching, and building the capability of a claims team is required.
- The role requires the ability to work collaboratively, plan and prioritize effectively, interpret, and analyse complex information, pay high attention to detail, and have technical proficiency with systems and excellent communication skills.
