What you’ll contribute to

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate person to join our National Marketing division as a Strategy Specialist in a permanent role full-time role.

The National Marketing Division is responsible for planning, coordination and execution of all national marketing, brand, internal & external communications, digital, public relations, and customer relationship management to position Toyota as the customers’ brand of choice throughout and beyond the entire product lifecycle and contribute to achievement of sales volume, market share and profitability objectives.

The Strategy Specialist will assist with the development and implementation of cross divisional sales and marketing strategies for the full range of Toyota vehicles and cross-vehicle projects.

This is a great opportunity to shape Australia’s automotive industry and contribute to the future of Toyota’s business, enhancing the work & life of our customers. The role provides exposure to all areas of the business while developing strategies, managing projects, and updating senior management forums. This role would suit someone with experience in data analysis, strategy development and diverse internal and external stakeholder engagement.

This is role based in Port Melbourne with flexible work arrangements on offer.

Travel may be required for the role both locally and interstate.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Support and implement 'go to market' strategies for Toyota Products, Services and Corporate Direction to align the business towards an endorsed Marketing and Sales goal / result / direction.

  • Set clear targets and milestones. Monitor and analyse performance against specified targets and recommend countermeasures.

  • Act as the key contact for National Marketing strategy. Ensure communication and distribution of timely, reliable, and relevant information. Coordinate and facilitate strategic planning and development forums to ensure that vehicle strategies, plans, progress, and issues are clearly communicated to all stakeholders.

  • Conduct thorough post launch evaluations, utilising research, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and performance gaps with respect to Toyota’s product and services.

  • Update and maintain reporting systems to provide the business with accurate and timely information to support planning, budgeting and forecasting activities.

  • Experience in information gathering for Sales and Marketing, Financial and Product analysis within a large corporate environment.

  • Experience with insights and data analysis.

  • Problem solving and analytical capability.

  • Demonstrated organisation and strategic thinking skills.

  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, relationship building and time management skills.

  • Strong analytical and excel skills to be able to visualise and present data to senior management effectively.

  • A tertiary qualification in Marketing/Business/Commerce is desirable.
