How will I help?

As a Capability Manager, you will drive capability development and maximize workforce performance by acting as the product owner for capability initiatives.

Focusing on leadership and professional development initiatives, you will work closely with business leaders, functional teams, and employees to identify capability gaps, design customized solutions, and implement strategies to enhance individual and team capabilities.

You will lead capability development initiatives, collaborate with design partners to deliver effective outcomes, define key learning objectives for all programs, and work with stakeholders across the Consumer Division and the wider bank.

Additionally, you will drive innovative and continuous improvement opportunities across learning solutions to ultimately improve employee effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive capability development and performance optimization.
  • Build strong partnerships with business leaders, functional teams, and employees to understand capability and performance needs.
  • Lead the design and development of innovative learning solutions to address capability and performance gaps.
  • Partner with stakeholders to confirm success measures and deliver design solutions within agreed timeframes.
  • Manage relationships with internal designers and external partners to develop and source best-in-class learning.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and knowledge-sharing to foster continuous learning and improvement.

Whatever shape your family takes, we offer generous paid and unpaid parental leave for your nominated primary and support carers. This includes leave to organise adoptions, surrogacy, and foster care arrangements. And we continue to pay your super contributions while you take all the time you need to get your new family settled.

What do I need?

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with business leaders, teams, and employees.
  • Provide strategic advice to enhance capability development and performance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication to facilitate collaboration and engagement.
  • Design and develop innovative learning solutions to address performance gaps.
  • Make informed decisions to drive successful outcomes.
  • Learning or Education qualifications are desirable but not essential.
