The opportunity

Following the recent acquisition of KinCare we are excited to be recruiting for a Change Manager with experience in transitions and integrations. Silverchain is a pioneer in health and aged care with over 130 years of experience in delivering in-home care across Australia. Reporting to Silverchain’s Head of Change and working closely with the Transition and Integration program, you will utilise your skills and experience to develop and deliver the change and engagement strategy required to successfully integrate the two organisations. The successful candidate will have strong experience in undertaking change analysis and readiness assessments, evaluating training needs, developing change and adoption materials, and measuring change effectiveness. Your efforts will not only be integral to the immediate success of the Transition and Integration program but will also contribute to the foundations through which the expanded organisation will flourish for another 130+ years.

While this is currently a 12-month fixed term position, we would still like to hear from you should you be looking for a longer commitment. Also, please keep in mind that as a national organisation regular overnight travel across major cities will be required.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Developing a change strategy aligned with Silverchain’s enterprise change management approach
  • Conducting stakeholder analysis and designing effective stakeholder engagement approaches
  • Defining and measuring change success and evaluating the impact of changes
  • Report and presenting on change plans and activities
  • Identifying, addressing and escalating change related risks and issues
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver effective implementation methods to embed changes
  • Advise and influence on the development of key messages for communication planning, liaising with communication teams to ensure a coordinated communication approach across internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Director, Transition & Integration and members of the project team, providing change leadership
  • Mentoring and developing internal change capability

About you

The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who has the knowledge, expertise and passion to succeed in the role. But you will also be someone wo is ready to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in from day one

You will be someone who has strong leadership skills and the ability to carve the pathway and take the organisation on the journey of change with you.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field: Change Management, Human Resources, Organisational Development, Business or Psychology.
  • Change related certification by Prosci is highly desirable.
  • Contemporary knowledge of and experience in change methods and approaches.
  • Experience in change analysis for large, complex organisations, combined with strong analytical, critical thinking, research and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in leading change management activities within large scale transition programs.
  • Experience in applying Change Management methodologies, tools and techniques and proven hands on experience.
  • Anticipates and manages change resistance.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and asking questions, with the ability to influence the thinking and actions of others, and to facilitate and coach diverse groups.
  • Natural communicator, able to organise and participate in meetings with key business stakeholders, with a warm and engaging style to develop strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to establish credibility quickly and gain a reputation as a trusted advisor.
  • Demonstrated advanced problem solving skills and analytical mindset.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere.

Highly Desired Experience

  • Experience in healthcare sector and/or not for profit.
