Job Description

As Director of Sales, you will:

  • Drive Sales Performance: Develop and implement sales strategies for both the Resort and Convention Centre to maximize opportunities and profitability.
  • Budget Management: Oversee all Sales and Conference & Events budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Collaborate with Marketing: Work closely with the Portfolio Marketing Team to successfully execute Sales, Marketing, Loyalty, and digital initiatives.
  • Revenue Team Partnership: Collaborate with the Revenue team to create targeted action plans by segment, ensuring revenue goals are supported and achieved.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing regular coaching, mentoring, and strategic guidance.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously evaluate sales performance against forecasts and budgets, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with Resort Owners, regional tourism bodies, clients, and partners.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • Proven Experience: A strong background as a Director of Sales in Hotels or Resorts, with preference for experience in large-scale conferencing facilities or Convention Centres.
  • Financial Acumen: Excellent understanding of reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen problem-solving skills and a meticulous approach to your work.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven success in leading a large team, with the ability to motivate, guide, and inspire.
