This is a permanent role based on-site in Melbourne, Victoria. We regret that applications can only be considered for Australian Citizens and permanent residents residing in Australia.

Based in Melbourne and reporting to the APAC General Manager, this position will lead the APAC HR team and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to manage HR functions for APAC (Australia and Thailand). You'll hold primary responsibility for the delivery of HR operations and manage Office coordination functions across the Melbourne and Perth offices.


What will you be responsible for?

  • Managing the APAC regional team, including regional office operations
  • Oversee regional recruitment
  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure the delivery of a positive and responsive employee experience.
  • Contribute to the continuous development and optimisation of people policies, systems and procedures to reflect market best practice and legislative requirements
  • Provide recommendations and support on HR projects, system enhancements, design and lead special HR projects
  • Work closely with the ELT to provide commercial guidance and counsel on people-related matters
  • Being a trusted advisor to Vix people leaders on all People & Culture related initiatives and opportunities including org design, competency development, and performance management
  • Deliver key monthly reports detailing People Operations and Recruitment metrics
  • Regularly communicate thought leadership, workforce metrics and HR trends to senior leadership team


What does our ideal candidate look like?

  • Significant experience in progressive Human Resources positions, with a depth of experience in HR operations, benefits, compensation, learning & development and change management
  • Knowledge of HR/labour laws across Australia
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff at all levels
  • Good understanding of business needs and aligning people to business goals
  • Experience coaching and developing team members and working with senior leaders to execute on their people priorities
  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of drivers surrounding people decisions
  • Proven ability to thrive in fast paced and ambiguous environments meaning you have a can-do attitude, coupled with successful experience in developing and delivering people projects
  • Proven ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, make the best use of limited resources
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Have a successful track record in change management and experience in HR business partnering
  • A collaborative leadership style with the ability to partner with business leaders to build high functioning teams
