Our client is seeking a skilled Communications Officer to join their team on a full-time basis for a 3-month assignment, with the possibility of extension. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead communication campaigns and coordinate events that support an inclusive and accessible approach to communications across various communities. The position is available for an immediate start, with a competitive hourly rate of up to $60 plus superannuation. The working arrangement may be hybrid or onsite, depending on the final agreement.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Communications or a similar field, with demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in copywriting and events delivery.
  • Ability to deliver accessible content through the use of policy, guidelines, and toolkits.
  • Strong skills in drafting communication materials for various channels and audiences.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of accessible content, including research, writing, and editing, to ensure inclusivity across all communications.
  • Draft and facilitate the approval of communication materials, including content, creative messaging, and videos.
  • Coordinate and support stakeholder engagement activities, including events for VIP visitors, international delegations, and communities of practice.
  • Develop strategic communication plans and content to raise awareness and promote events.
  • Engage with stakeholders across NSW Health and NSW Government to leverage opportunities for accessible health messaging.
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships through effective communication, negotiation, and issues management.
