The Melbourne Racing Club (MRC) is one of Australia's most prestigious Sports, Hospitality, Events, and Property Development companies. As well as running elite horse racing at Caulfield, Ladbrokes Park (Sandown), and Mornington Racecourses, we own 14 pub venues under the Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG), an emerging collection of owned events such as The Peninsula Picnic and the MRC Foundation, our charitable arm.
Our Customer Team has a new opportunity for a Ticketing Manager (Full-time) , Reporting to the Customer Growth Manager . Based at Caulfield Racecourse, this role will be responsible for managing and executing all customer service and ticketing requirements, including management of the Ticketek partnership.
This role will work in collaboration with Membership and the Customer Growth Manager and be required to assist with execution on race days.
What will my responsibilities be?
Working in collaboration to shape the development of MRCs pricing & attendance model for racing ticketing Implementation and management of Ticketing software solution Developing and reviewing plans, processes, and policies for managing ticket operations Coordinate the release of tickets for sale to all MRC racedays and events Execution of ticketing relating to membership or dining packages Implementing operational plans for the distribution of stakeholder ticketing requirements Engage with Ticketek, Operations and IT to ensure barcodes and access for entry systems work effectively Manage the ticketing content on the MRC website and third-party channels Develop Customer Service SLAs to improve efficiency within the customer service function Reporting to the business and key stakeholders around Customer Service metrics Assisting with execution on race days, inclusive of requirement for weekend work in line with the racing calendar.Experience/ skills required
Minimum of 4 years in a ticketing related or management role Extensive understanding of ticketing systems, processes and practical experience in writing ticketing use cases and processes Strong operational experience in ticketing within a major event environment Experience working in a customer service or frontline services role Knowledge of membership databases (desirable) Sound IT skills particularly understanding ticketing box office and access control requirements (desirable) A level of technological skill to comprehend and oversee and influence the development of the Ticketing platform Ability to work independently with strict guidelines and deadlines Ability to effectively multi-taskWhat’s in it for you?
