We wish to complement our existing team with a Laboratory Manager within our Fulton Hogan Infrastructure Services Business delivering road infrastructure projects across South Australia and Northern Territory. In this role you'll be responsible for:

  • To manage the operation of the laboratory in accordance with Fulton Hogan Company Safety, Quality, Environmental and other policies

  • Overseeing the NATA requirements for asphalt, binders and emulsion laboratories and maintain the NATA Accreditation of all central laboratories

  • To engage, train, lead, develop and ensure relevant certification is held by laboratory staff

  • Initiate and drive continuous improvement in laboratory operations

  • Review targets, costs and work procedures regularly to ensure tasks are being carried out effectively and efficiently.

How you'll connect to the role:

  • Bachelor in engineering or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or related qualification

  • Minimum of 5 years full time experience in construction materials testing

  • Strong knowledge of NATA’s requirements, Australian standards and local road authorities

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and knowledge of QestLab would be an advantage
