ABOUT THE ROLE: Location: Various locations across the Adelaide Region Part Time Opportunities available Weekday and weekend afternoon shifts available SSIA Level 2 Wilson Security is expanding in Adelaide, securing additional contracts that strengthen our presence in the Whole of Adelaide.
This growth has created new roles within our Adelaide team, focused on enhancing response and support capabilities for our existing teams and clients.
These positions are crucial to our success in the region and will be supported by our Operations Team and Duty Managers.
They offer the opportunity to work in response roles, handling events such as protests and emergency management, with training across multiple locations and a variety of positions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Providing strong Customer Service solutions to the public, contractors & client Identifying and reporting hazards and incidents Intervene and resolve disputes Deter and reduce security incidents Deescalate anti-social behaviour Respond to emergency situations What You'll Do As a Transit Officer, you'll wear many hats: Law Enforcement: Exercise powers under the Passenger Transport Act Emergency Response: Be first on scene during incidents and assist emergency services Customer Service: Support passengers, provide guidance, and maintain a welcoming environment Community Engagement: Act as carers, peacekeepers, mentors, and listeners Public Safety: Patrol Train , Tram & Bus stations, and mobile units to prevent and respond to disorder Where You'll Work You'll be part of a large, dynamic team operating across the metropolitan rail & bus network.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Strong Customer Service Skills Ability to spot discrepancies or violations quickly Clear, concise, and polite communication with the public Ability to resolve disputes or issues with minimal escalation.
Willing to support and step up as required into other roles Ability to work well in a team or autonomously Ability to work in a rotational roster (Nights/Days/Weekends) Australian Citizen or hold Unlimited Work Rights Demonstrated ability to prepare and write reports Availability to and physical fitness to walk and stand for long periods Valid SA Security License Crowd Control endorsement will be highly desirable Current First Aid & CPR Certificate This role is ideal for individuals who: Thrive under pressure and enjoy problem-solving Are physically capable and mentally resilient Value teamwork and community service Are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding career Why Join Us?
