Transition Officer

MacKillop Catholic College, Warnervale is seeking a Transition Officer to join our professional and passionate administration team. This is a permanent full-time role commencing in Term 1, 2026.

This newly created role focuses on the personalised accompaniment of students and their families as they progress through their educational journey from Baptism to Post School Learning. The role supports the school in helping students, families, and staff to know and love Christ and to grow in faith, as well as embedding a culture of excellence and continuous improvement that ensures every student is challenged and supported to reach or exceed their potential.

Specific Criteria

• Support a Christ-centred school culture and Catholic identity through relationships, policies, and practices aligned with Catholic teachings.
• Demonstrated ability to implement transition programs and activities such as Orientation Days, Discovery Days, and Welcome Days.
• Able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including feeder schools and community representatives.
• Act as a key contact for families during transition and enrolment processes.
• Work collaboratively with key leaders across the school and Diocese, including those in Student Achievement, Wellbeing, Learner Diversity, Evangelisation & Catechesis, and Heads of School, to share insights and support plans for transitioning students.
• Maintain documentation related to transition programs, including attendance, feedback, and evaluations, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with policies and child protection requirements.

As of 19 September 2022, staff are no longer required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Staff not vaccinated must wear masks when working with children at higher risk due to medical conditions or disabilities.
