Are you passionate about ensuring compliance and upholding high standards in innovative, sustainability-driven projects? As our Project Compliance & Assurance Officer, you'll be at the heart of our Zero Emission Bus Transition, supporting the success of projects that contribute to a greener, more sustainable future in public transport.

**About the Role**:This full-time, 12-month contract role will have you based in Leichhardt/Kingsgrove, working closely with project teams on-site and from the office. Reporting to the National ZEB Infrastructure Manager, you'll ensure that each step of our project aligns with compliance, quality, and safety regulations. You'll oversee the entire compliance framework, conduct audits, mitigate risks, and build assurance frameworks that drive excellence in every project.

**What You'll Do**:

- ** Compliance Monitoring & Reporting**: Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks across projects. Provide accurate, timely reports to management and stakeholders, ensuring adherence to both internal and external standards.
- ** Project Assurance Frameworks**: Establish robust governance frameworks, maintain quality and performance standards, and independently review project activities for compliance.
- ** Risk Management**: Identify and mitigate risks, keeping risk registers current and working alongside project teams to secure smooth, compliant project delivery.
- ** Stakeholder Engagement**: Act as the primary point of contact for compliance inquiries, delivering training, advice, and guidance to project teams on compliance requirements.
- ** Process Improvement**: Keep thorough records of compliance activities, lead initiatives to refine compliance policies, and improve project governance procedures.
- ** Project Review & Feedback**: Conduct project assessments, provide constructive feedback, and ensure non-compliance issues are addressed with corrective action.

**What We're Looking For**:

- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field, with certifications in compliance or project management a plus.
- 3-5 years in compliance, assurance, or project management within regulated sectors (construction, transport, etc.) and experience with Government or Tier 1 contracts.
- Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks, especially for the construction and transport sectors.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret legal and regulatory requirements and integrate them into project processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Sharp analytical abilities with attention to detail and a solution-oriented approach.
- Proficient in compliance and project management software tools.
