Search Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Search Engineer to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires expertise in designing and implementing scalable search systems.
About the Role
Collaborate with engineering teams to build and maintain search infrastructure
Design and implement advanced search systems using technologies like Elasticsearch, Solr, or vector databases
Identify, prioritize, and solve systemic technical challenges related to search architecture
Advocate for and maintain engineering quality, ensuring high-quality search experiences for customers
Required Skills and Qualifications
Extensive experience building search systems, including hands-on exposure to designing and implementing search infrastructure
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex search architectures and query performance vs. relevance tradeoffs
Experience managing complex search infrastructure, including designing and delivering complex search features and optimizing indexing pipelines
Mentoring junior team members to help them learn search best practices and information retrieval concepts
