Search Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Search Engineer to join our team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires expertise in designing and implementing scalable search systems.

About the Role
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to build and maintain search infrastructure
  • Design and implement advanced search systems using technologies like Elasticsearch, Solr, or vector databases
  • Identify, prioritize, and solve systemic technical challenges related to search architecture
  • Advocate for and maintain engineering quality, ensuring high-quality search experiences for customers
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Extensive experience building search systems, including hands-on exposure to designing and implementing search infrastructure
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex search architectures and query performance vs. relevance tradeoffs
  • Experience managing complex search infrastructure, including designing and delivering complex search features and optimizing indexing pipelines
  • Mentoring junior team members to help them learn search best practices and information retrieval concepts
