Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner: Townsville
SCHADS 6 = $55.73 per hour, plus salary packaging, sign-on bonus, and $2500 above award allowance
About the role :
Provide information, support, counselling, and mediation to separating couples and families.
Facilitate negotiations that prioritise the best interests of children and young people.
Conduct intake, risk, and needs assessments in line with the Family Law Act 1975 and FDRP Regulations 2008.
Deliver child-focused mediation using relevant frameworks and best practice standards.
Maintain accurate records, case notes, and reporting in line with organisational and legislative requirements.
Build positive networks and promote services across the community.
Contribute to a collaborative, values-driven team environment.
To be successful, you will bring :
Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Law, Family Dispute Resolution or Mediation.
Accreditation as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (or eligibility to obtain registration).
Demonstrated experience in family dispute resolution and child-inclusive practices.
Strong communication, assessment, and case management skills.
The ability to maintain professional standards in line with legislation and FDR accreditation requirements.
A current driver's licence, Blue Card, and ability to obtain a Disability Worker Screening clearance.
Desirable :
Experience in the not-for-profit or community services sector.
Skills in education, group facilitation, or working with diverse cultural and social contexts.
