Supporting Families Through Conflict Resolution
As a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner, you will play a vital role in guiding separating couples and families as they navigate the complexities of family dispute resolution. Your expertise will help individuals find mutually beneficial solutions to their conflicts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide critical information, support, counseling, and mediation services to clients seeking to reach resolutions.
- Facilitate negotiations that prioritize the best interests of children and young people.
- Conduct thorough intake, risk, and needs assessments in accordance with the Family Law Act 1975 and FDRP Regulations 2008.
- Deliver child-focused mediation utilizing relevant frameworks and best practice standards.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping, case notes, and reporting adhere to organizational and legislative requirements.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with community networks and promote services across the area.
- Contribute to a collaborative, values-driven team environment by sharing knowledge and best practices.
Requirements:
- Hold tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Law, Family Dispute Resolution, or Mediation.
- Be accredited as a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner (or be eligible for registration).
- Demonstrate experience in family dispute resolution and child-inclusive practices.
- Exhibit strong communication, assessment, and case management skills.
- Maintain professional standards in line with legislation and FDR accreditation requirements.
- Possess a current driver's license, Blue Card, and ability to obtain a Disability Worker Screening clearance.
