We support women impacted by Domestic and Family Violence through holistic and culturally safe approaches.Our services include legal representation, client support, financial counselling, community legal education, and law reform.
We are dedicated to enabling, educating, and empowering women to navigate the legal system while respecting their rights.Learn more at: the OpportunityCAWLS is seeking a part-time Human Resource Lead (3 days/week), working remotely.
This role reports to the COO and is responsible for delivering HR services and ensuring compliance with policies and organizational values.Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Managing the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, and exit processes.Providing HR support with sensitivity and confidentiality.Assisting in performance management and training development.Developing, implementing, and monitoring HR policies for legal compliance.Maintaining accurate HR records and preparing reports.Assisting with payroll processes.About YouTo qualify, you need a relevant HR qualification (e.g., Certificate IV in Human Resources) and at least 3 years' experience in a generalist HR role.Valued skills and background include:Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and enterprise agreements.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive information.A proactive problem-solving approach and ability to work independently and in a team.We seek a professional, initiative-driven, and passionate individual committed to creating inclusive HR systems.
