**Enterprise Benefits Coordinator**
**Public Sector People** are working with a government organisation within Brisbane who are seeking an Enterprise Benefits Coordinator on a contract till the end of the year + extension + opportunity to go permanent directly with the client afterwards.
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the newly created position of Beneficial Enterprises Coordinator. The role is an exciting opportunity to work with four council-owned businesses focused on charity, innovation, material recycling, and a special-purpose vehicle company.
**Responsibilities will include but not be limited to**:
- As the Beneficial Enterprises Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between the boards of the council-owned businesses and key stakeholders, primarily the council itself.
- Your responsibilities will include providing senior specialist advice, analysis, and fostering partnerships with stakeholders to influence the compliance strategy of each of the Council's beneficial enterprises.
- Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the corporate governance associated with these enterprises.
- Manage the corporate governance associated with the beneficial enterprises of the Council.
- Engage with stakeholders (including leadership teams of each of the beneficial enterprises and commercial business units) to develop consistent reporting requirements, including to Council (as a shareholder), the Audit and Risk Committee and external bodies (where applicable).
- Ability to obtain rapid in-depth knowledge of the corporate arrangements (including constitutions) of each of the Council's beneficial enterprises.
- Maintain specialist knowledge of current local government and industry compliance requirements and best practices.
- Has a comprehensive knowledge of the local government context relating to the operation of beneficial enterprises.
- Provide support within the Risk and Compliance Program as required.

**About you**:
- This is a newly created role - you must be able to be innovative, self-starting and use your initiative
- Working across multiple stakes holders You must be an excellent communicator
- You understand commercial business and ideally have some government background.
- **You have tertiary qualifications** ideally in law, governance, risk and/or compliance.
- Not essential but you may have Completion of the AICD Company's Directors course (or equivalent).
