What you'll do:
Define and monitor the programme purpose, objectives, scope as well as the principles and Critical Success Factors. Exercise all the attributes expected of a Programme Manager including scope management, plan management, budgetary control, change control, risk and issue management.-
- Use industry experience to oversee and drive the design and implementation of the SRE, Support & Operate models from inception. Provide structure and guidance to the overall programme and be the calm voice of reason within the programme to ensure the focus is on the key priorities.-
- Build collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders across business, operational and delivery areas as a 'trusted advisor', in order to align on recommendations, guide them towards feasible solutions, resolve issues and agree delivery strategy without disrupting delivery initiatives.-
- Build collaborative and close relationships with Technology leadership team within the group, to ensure alignment across scope, architecture, governance and plans in all initiatives you work on.-
- Support risk evaluation, concept shaping and evaluation in the very early stages of an initiative, using delivery expertise and knowledge. This will include early planning and leading the initiation stage to ensure a recommendation is made in as expedient a manner as possible.-
- Take technical messages/outputs and translate them for non-technical audiences. Simplify and summarise problems in a straightforward and succinct manner.What you'll bring:
- Specialist knowledge delivering programmes and projects centred around SRE, Support & Operate models.- You will have a pragmatic, results and delivery-oriented mindset, with a track record of having facilitated large programmes for very large cross-enterprise initiatives, ideally in industry related to Sky's core products, but this domain experience is not essential. We want people who have delivered large initiatives from start to finish and have experienced all phases of a delivery lifecycle.- A brilliant communicator and listener, flexible in your approach, style and methods to get the best out of the business in delivering a programme. Being able to recognise when things are not working and need changing is core to what we are looking for.- You will have vision, drive, diplomacy, and the ability to make things happen in an environment of ambiguity, complexity, and multiple stakeholders, being able to influence others without direct authority.- We need you to be an amazing facilitator who can resolve tension and increase collaboration towards shared goals in any situation, and who is able to build effective relationships with a range of individuals at all levels in the organisation.- You will be comfortable in quickly grasping ideas in both familiar and unfamiliar domains, and you will be able to use your business acumen and understanding of Sky's strategic objectives to prioritise and shape these ideas to aid the delivery of the programme.
