**DEPARTMENT**:
The Patient Experience and Consumer Engagement (PECE) program strategically supports Alfred Health to implement, monitor and evaluate the Patients Come First (PCF) Strategy. The PCF Strategy is Alfred Health's organisational 'roadmap' for agreed priorities of care and service to support the best possible experience of care for all patients, irrespective of their individual preferences, values and expressed needs. It consists of the following portfolios:

- Aboriginal Health
- Consumer and Community Participation
- Diversity, including cultural and linguistic diversity (CALD), lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ), disability and all other minority groups with potential unmet needs
- Patient Feedback and Liaison
- Volunteer Program (The Alfred and Caulfield Hospitals)

**POSITION**:
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated person to join our dynamic team to provide a range of functions to support the Innovation & Improvement Coordinator and broader Patient Experience Consumer Engagement team with the implementation of activities and projects that contribute to the provision of equitable health care. Functions include; project support for initiatives that contribute to the PCF Strategy; initiatives to facilitate effective communication and engagement via digital and online platforms; supporting processes for volunteer and consumer engagement including liaising with a range of diverse volunteers, consumers, staff, community members and external agencies. We strongly encourage people with lived experience, who identify with one or more minority and/or diverse population groups to apply.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Experience in supporting the successful delivery or projects and managing multiple priorities
- Experience in working respectfully and collaboratively with diverse groups
- Understanding of ethical behaviour and business practices, ensuring own behaviour is consistent with these standards and aligns with the Alfred Health beliefs and Victorian Public Sector Values
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and the ability to work in a consultative manner
- Excellent organisational skills with a commitment to customer focus, attention to detail and problem solving
- Understanding of and experience with the requirements of developing accessible resources
- Knowledge of broader health system issues and trends within the Victorian Health system would be beneficial
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
- Self-direction and ability to work independently as well as contributing in a team environment
- Proficient in researching information using the internet and other resources
- Ability to maintain confidentially
