The Fresh Collective in Melbourne is seeking a dynamic and innovativeExecutive Sous Chef to help lead our culinary team at Museums Victoria, delivering exceptional in and outside catering and events, as well as dining experiences in one of Melbourne's most iconic institutions.About UsMuseums Victoria is home to some of Australia's most treasured collections and exhibitions.
With multiple venues attracting visitors from across the globe, the aim is to provide not just awe-inspiring exhibits, but also The go to venue for amazing functions and events, as well as great culinary experiences in the various restaurants on site.The RoleAs the Executive Sous Chef, you'll work closely with the Executive Chef to:Lead and inspire our kitchen teams focusing on our many amazing events as well as multiple onsite venuesAssist in crafting creative, seasonal menus that reflect our diverse audience and vibrant community.Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety.Oversee kitchen operations, including inventory, budgeting, food safety and team training.What We're Looking ForDemonstrated experience as Exec Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role.Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage a high-performing team.Knowledge of food safety regulations and cost management.A collaborative attitude, with a commitment to excellence and creativity.Current Food Safety QualificationsWhat We Offer:Competitive salary of $95,000 per year, plus other company benefits.A unique opportunity to work in one of Victoria's leading cultural institutions.Great career opportunity working for a large Australian based hospitality companyA supportive and vibrant work environment that values creativity and teamwork.The chance to make your mark on Melbourne's culinary scene.About UsThe Fresh Collective has a reputation for crafting exceptional experiences with premium food and beverages in iconic venues throughout Australia such as Museums Victoria, Australian Museum, Southbank Theatre, The Art Gallery of NSW, Sydney Theatre Company, Government House, Waters Edge Brisbane and The Queensland Museum.
