**About the role**

We have two opportunities available for a Team Manager, one Permanent and one 12-month contract to join our Motor Claims team, here at RACQ The environment is fast paced, dynamic and evolving. We work within a diverse workforce of energised, enthusiastic, and caring people. Being there for our members is at the heart of all we do. Whether we are assisting them on the phone, pro-actively managing their claims or improving our processes, we constantly strive to deliver the best possible service.

In this role you will lead and manage a large team of 12-15 frontline staff in our Motor Claims Operation. Within your team you will have a range of Claims Management Officers and Support Officer. The roles and responsibilities are wide ranging that include lodging claims, managing simple claims, managing technical or sensitive claims in an end of end claim management process. You will set clear expectations and direction, coaching, and motivate. Leading by example to achieve member, operational and engagement goals, and objectives.

Within the operation we have teams based on site at Eight Mile Plains as well as working from home in Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast. Our leaders need to be flexible, able to work on site, from home or travelling occasionally to other locations.

Your focus will be on driving team performance by ensuring the proactive, efficient, and fair delivery of claims management. While promoting and undertaking initiatives for ongoing progress across the department.

**About you**

We're looking for a proven leader who is effective, engaging and continuously fosters a positive culture. You will be passionate and adaptable, able to manage high pressure scenarios like bad weather events and changing environments. Ideally as an applicant for this role you will have:

- Experience managing frontline claims teams
- The ability to understand legislative and technical product documentation
- Demonstrated experience building relationships with key stakeholders
- Experience managing teams both face to face and virtually
