**About the role**
An exciting 12-month opportunity recently arisen within the Advocacy team for a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Program Specialist. Expressions of interest are now open for this position
In this newly established role, you will drive the implementation of the RACQ RAP and support the strategic direction of the Innovate RAP Program. This role will work closely with the RAP Working Group and be responsible for leading internal projects linked to the RAP.
This is a designated Australian First Nations Identified role. Under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (QLD), it is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be an **Aboriginal** **and/or Torres Strait Islander person**.
An Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person is one who identifies as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and either:
- is of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent; or
- is accepted as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander by the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community in which they live.
This position offers a hybrid flexible work arrangement between home and office in Eight Mile Plains and Edward St.
**About you**
This role is well suited a passionate and driven individual with experience in delivering positive outcomes with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
More importantly, you will have effective stakeholder management, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to bring together and work with cross-functional teams. Ideally, you will also possess the following skills and attributes:
- A strong knowledge of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture
- Prior experience in supporting the development or delivery of a Reconciliation Action Plan or similar is desirable
- Strong relationship building, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage a diverse range of work activities simultaneously
- Demonstrated customer focused and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated experience in managing a range of projects to deliver outcomes in a timely and cost-efficient manner
- Well-developed communication skills including the ability to influence and negotiate
- Well-developed research, conceptual and analytical skills
- High degree of computer literacy
