Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Reconciliation Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial accounting principles and the ability to analyze large datasets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts and branch transactions, ensuring timely resolution of any discrepancies
  • Collaborate with internal finance departments to enhance understanding of financial accounting processes
  • Analyze data on unreconciled deposits and system transactions, escalating issues as needed
  • Administer corporate credit cards, process additions and cancellations while ensuring compliance with internal standards
  • Assist with claims receipting inquiries and support customers with account statements and payment method queries
  • Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations and report on aged debtors, adhering to the Group Finance timetable

Requirements:

  • A basic understanding of accounting and/or book-keeping
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data from different source systems quickly and accurately to ensure quality of work
  • Ability to solve problems, perform numerical calculations and interpret data in different situations
  • Experience completing bank and clearing account reconciliations within a large organization
  • Competent in the MS Office365 suite, strong skills in Excel would be advantageous
  • Strong time management abilities, along with effective communication skills
