Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineering teams to build trust and support them in addressing their biggest search challenges.
Define and communicate our search technology strategy, working closely with technical leadership.
Identify, prioritize, and solve systemic technical challenges, constantly improving our search architecture.
Requirements:
Extensive experience building search systems, including designing and implementing search infrastructure using technologies like Elasticsearch, Solr, or vector databases.
Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex search architectures and query performance vs. relevance tradeoffs.
Experience managing complex search infrastructure, including designing and delivering complex search features and optimizing indexing pipelines.
