Content technology and innovation

Our Content Technology and Innovation team delivers high-quality content to homes, customer devices, businesses and commercial partners across our European markets. With over 2500 colleagues from around the world, we combine our strategic insights, engineering know-how and operational excellence to use the most innovative technologies to create and distribute our award-winning content.

As a Media Quality Assurance Operator, you will be assessing Sky's Linear and On Demand content ahead of its release to our viewing platforms, such as Sky Glass, Sky Q, and NOW, to ensure the video and audio quality meet the high standards our customers expect. One day you could be working on Fast Turnaround highlights of the evening's Premier League action, the next you might be validating the latest high-profile movie premiere. The assessments of SD, HD, SDR, HDR, and 3D content along with Atmos, 5.1 and stereo audio mixes require disciplined eyes and ears to ensure content is free from any defects.- This position is with the Quality Control & Assurance team, whose responsibilities include the quality assurance of all of Sky's Linear and VOD & OTT content.- This is achieved through validating the output of Auto Quality Checking tools, using spot-checks and full assessments.- You will be working to tight deadlines and prioritising your work volumes based on release dates and times.- The team deals with queries from clients both internal and external to the business - all with the goal of ensuring the audio and video quality meets the standard expected from a premium content provider and delivering the best customer experience possible.- Errors must be swiftly investigated, identifying the causes and recommending solutions.- You will also need to accurately record data relating to the assessments you carry out each day, to feed into clear and concise reporting and drive service improvements.

What you'll bring- Excellent communication skills and high standards when it comes to delivering great service.- A demonstrable ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressured, business critical role.- A love of great content.- An understanding of common audio and video quality issues.- A great work ethic, being flexible, conscientious, and highly collaborative.- You must be able to work on a rotating shift pattern that covers 24 hours per day, seven days per week.- Excellent organisation skills and the ability to effectively prioritise when faced with multiple deadlines.- An ability to take responsibility for certain areas of work and be proactive with problem solving.

Our Osterley Campus is a 10-minute walk from Syon Lane train station. Or you can hop on one of our free shuttle buses that run to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations. There are also plenty of bike shelters and showers.
