**About the role**

As a Pipe Testing Technician at Tefco Piping Systems, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and quality of our piping systems. In this full-time position based in Westbury, Tasmania. You will be responsible for conducting rigorous testing, inspections on our products, mechanical equipment maintenance and setup so product meets industry standards and customer requirements.

**What you'll be doing**
- Perform a variety inspections and tests.
- Organizing assembly, changeover, inspection and maintenance of equipment and plant.
- Select tools and equipment
- Operate and maintain specialized testing equipment to collect accurate data on pipe performance
- Analyse test results and generate detailed reports
- Ensuring that products meet our QA standards
- Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve any issues or defects in the manufacturing process
- Ensure all testing procedures adhere to relevant safety regulations and quality control protocols
- Production planning & control

**What we're looking for**
- Formal qualifications in a technical or engineering discipline, such as a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or Diploma in Plastics Technology
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a pipe testing, plastic extrusion or quality assurance role within the manufacturing industry
- Proficient knowledge of testing techniques and the ability to interpret test results
- Competent in setting up and maintaining specialized equipment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and address any quality issues
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with the production team and present findings
