About the Role
We are seeking a driven junior Account Manager to join our team, based at our satellite office. This role combines client relationship management with hands-on quality assurance, ensuring our clients receive both exceptional service and compliance with Australian Standards.
As the primary point of contact for your client portfolio, you will not only manage relationships but also oversee and conduct QA inspections of fire doors, fire hose reels, dampers, and portable equipment installations, as well as verify testing/service activities, ensuring they are managed thoroughly from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for this premium portfolio, fostering strong and long-term relationships.
- Collaborate with internal teams (service, projects, compliance) to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Conduct quality assurance inspections of fire door installations and testing/service of essential fire systems in line with AS1851 and other relevant standards.
- Provide clear advice to our client regarding compliance requirements and remedial works.
- Data management within the FPS Service Maintenance software UPTICK
- Prepare client reports, compliance documentation, and service reviews.
- Support clients with audits, AFSS submissions, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all works within your portfolio meet compliance, safety, and quality standards.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in account management or someone that has been on the tools conducting testing and/or service work (fire protection industry preferred).
- Strong understanding of essential fire systems, with the ability to conduct QA inspections (Fire/Smoke Doors, FHR, Portable, Dampers).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to interpret and work within compliance frameworks (NCC, AS1851, AS1905 etc).
- Self-motivated with strong organisational skills, able to balance on-site inspections and client engagement.
