Full-Time Business Manager – Gladesville Veterinary Hospital

Gladesville Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Business Manager to lead our established and dynamic veterinary team. With the plan to expand to multisite oversight once successful metrics are being met and as business needs evolve.

About the Role

As Business Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the operational and commercial success of the hospital. Working in close partnership with the Lead Veterinarian, you'll oversee day-to-day operations, team leadership, financial performance, and client experience — ensuring the clinic thrives both as a business and as a workplace.

This is a hands-on leadership role that will begin with a single site focus, with view to expand your remit across multiple clinics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive financial performance and sustainable growth through sound business planning and data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, engaged, and accountable team.
  • Oversee daily operations, including rostering, payroll, inventory management, and client service delivery.
  • Partner with the Lead Veterinarian to align clinical excellence with business strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative, safety, and professional standards.
  • Champion change initiatives and continuous improvement projects across the clinic.

About You

You're a people-focused business leader who enjoys working in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment. You bring commercial acumen, operational savvy, and strong leadership capability — along with a genuine passion for creating great workplace cultures.

You will have:

  • Experience in business management or operational leadership, ideally within veterinary, healthcare, retail, or hospitality.
  • Proven P&L accountability and strong understanding of budgeting and financial performance.
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership, coaching, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach with a commitment to excellence and integrity.

Veterinary industry experience is not essential — success in this role comes from strong leadership, business insight, and the ability to work effectively with veterinary professionals.
