Ambrose Construct Group is one of Australia's largest Insurance Repairers and requires the services of a Power BI Developer to join our growing and dynamic IT Department in delivering IT Software Customisation to the business.

*Main Responsibilities:*

  • Learn and fully understand the data landscape in databases and applications
  • Use and develop data collection processes
  • Review and validate data
  • Develop data quality and cleaning processes
  • Gather end user reporting and dashboard requirements
  • Develop dashboards and creating reports and supporting users with them
  • Develop tools to aid in data analysis
  • Communicate insights to senior management and across the organisation
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, spot trends, as well as recognise potential issues and offer solutions
  • Improve efficiency, increasing productivity, and driving profits for the business
  • Oversee the deployment of data to the data warehouse
  • Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data
  • Create or discover new data procurement and processing programs
  • Cooperate with our IT department to deploy software and hardware upgrades that make it possible for us to develop Machine Learning products
  • Monitor analytics and metrics results
  • Implement new data analysis methodologies
  • Perform data profiling to identify and understand anomalies

Skills & Experience:

  • IT diploma or Computer Science degree
  • 3 + years' experience working with Business Intelligence platforms
  • Experience working with Microsoft Power BI – highly regarded
  • Proficiency in DAX and/or SQL
  • Ability to collaborate with the team, or work autonomously, depending on the project
  • Ability to multi-task, or re-prioritise projects for development as business and industry priorities shift
