**The Regional Support Officer (RSO) will be ideally based in the Maroochydore Regional Office on the Sunshine Coast. The RSO supports the region in all areas of governance and administration including business planning, finance and asset management, budget management, human resource management, correspondence and the ministerial executive correspondence system, public enquiries, fleet management, and training and uniform coordination.

As the AO6 Regional Support Officer you will manage, maintain, respond to and advise on many aspects of the business such as business planning; corporate liaison; regional budget management; high level HR advice inc. vacancy, case management, recruitment and selection, PD benchmarking; accommodation and flexible work agreements; regional business coordination; corporate reporting; and use systems such as Aurion, ESS, QSS enquiries, Power BI, SAP, and Microsoft Suite during the course of business research and analysis.

You will be a member of the regional leadership team representing and providing advice on governance and administration activities and record and follow up on meeting decisions and actions. You will be familiar with various government policy regards to several areas of the business and have ability to interrogate policy to meet business outcomes with accountability, transparency, fairness and responsibility, in providing accurate advice for action.

You will supervise a business support team, responsible for the various coordination and processing of focused business activity and have ability to mentor and develop staff needs as required.

Mandatory requirements

You must hold a current unrestricted manual driver's license or be prepared to obtain a manual license if you do not. You do not require tertiary qualifications to undertake this position, however a qualification in an administration, finance and/or human resource or related discipline will be highly regarded.
