Gemelli Italian Broadbeach in the Gemelli Group is looking to hire a permanent full time Sous Chef.

We are looking to immediately fill a permanent full-time position of Sous Chef.

The duties you will be expected to complete in this position include but are not limited to:

 Support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen successfully

 Work closely with other Sous Chefs to ensure upmost organisation, planning and

management of kitchen staff, food preparation and quality, inventory and high

standards from top to bottom

 Cooking and presenting dishes as per our standards

 Be responsible in assisting to create menus with flair and innovation having regard to

our stock, season and patron preferences

 Ensure patron satisfaction & experience by delivering dishes to expectation

monitoring quality at all times

 Monitoring stock level, preservation and rotation/ordering accordingly to ensure

minimal wastage

 Assisting and training kitchen staff in understanding dish preparation, ingredients

and cooking techniques a required

 Aiding in the selection of kitchen staff

 Managing kitchen staff

 Ensuring health regulations are met at all times by all kitchen staff

We would like you to possess the following:

 Cert IV in Commercial Cookery or Kitchen Management (preferred)

 Possess at least one year of experience in a similar role

 Be consistent in leading a team successfully

 Possess exceptional cooking skills

 Be able to perform well under pressure

Salary: $80,000-$90,000 pa + superannuation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
