About the role

This is a full-time Estimator role based in Laverton North, VIC, supporting Australia external cladding's Construction operations. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for a range of construction projects, ensuring the company remains competitive and profitable.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs
  • Analyze construction plans, specifications, and other project documents to identify all cost components
  • Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and procurement teams to gather accurate cost information
  • Maintain a database of historical cost data and continually update pricing information
  • Identify and mitigate potential cost risks, proposing strategies to manage and reduce costs
  • Provide timely and accurate reports to management on project estimates and forecasts
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's estimating processes and practices

What we're looking for

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
  • Proficient in the use of construction estimating software and tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present complex information clearly
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across multiple departments
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry regulations
