The Ideal Candidate

You're a detail-driven estimator with a proven background in the construction or fit-out industry, confident in preparing accurate costings and working closely with trades and suppliers. You thrive in fast-paced environments where precision matters, and you can juggle multiple tasks without losing sight of the details. A natural problem-solver, you enjoy collaborating with a team that values getting things done right, and on time.

With strong communication skills, you can liaise easily with trades, suppliers, and colleagues, ensuring accurate information flows at every stage. You're proactive, structured, and confident using estimating software, with the flexibility to jump between manual take-offs and digital platforms.

Key Qualifications:

Extensive estimating experience in the construction industry

  • Strong ability to complete take-offs both digitally (Buildxact) and manually
  • Proven experience sourcing and managing supplier and trade quotes
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and cost analysis skills
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with trades, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete take-offs on plans using Buildxact and manual methods
  • Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for commercial fit-out projectsSource and obtain trade and supplier quotes, ensuring competitiveness and accuracy
  • Arrange trade site checks and confirm Provisional Sum allowances
  • Provide preliminary estimates to support project planning and client proposals
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure costings are aligned with delivery requirements
