As we scale into our next growth phase, we're seeking a highly skilled Estimator to join our dynamic team in-house.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines technical expertise with commercial awareness and attention to detail. You'll thrive in a fast-paced, premium builder environment and contribute to the seamless execution of our projects.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry (residential experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of building methods, codes, and industry standards
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g. Buildsoft, Cubit, CostX, or similar) and MS Excel
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with trades, suppliers, and consultants
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently while being part of a team
  • Attention to detail with a solutions-focused mindset

The Role

As an In-House Estimator at Acustruct, you will be the backbone of our financial and cost-planning process. You'll play a critical role in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and competitiveness in our tenders and budgets, while supporting the project delivery team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and budgets for residential custom builds, KDRB, and multi-residential projects
  • Manage tenders and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to source competitive pricing
  • Review drawings, specifications, and inclusions for accuracy and cost-effectiveness
  • Identify value-engineering opportunities and provide recommendations to optimise budgets
  • Collaborate closely with the design and construction teams to ensure alignment across cost, scope, and delivery
  • Maintain and update internal cost databases and historical pricing records
  • Assist with contract reviews, variations, and progress claims
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, building codes, and regulations
