The Opportunity

Aspired Electrical, a leading electrical services provider, is seeking an experienced and skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team in Epping, Victoria. As a full-time Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the success of our organisation by providing accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret project plans, specifications, and drawings to identify the scope of work and develop comprehensive cost estimates
  • Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to gather the necessary information for accurate estimating
  • Prepare detailed estimates, including labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs, to ensure projects are priced competitively
  • Continuously monitor market trends, material costs, and labour rates to adjust estimates accordingly
  • Liaise with clients and project teams to clarify any questions or concerns regarding the estimates
  • Maintain an organised system for tracking and updating estimates, ensuring a seamless handover to the project execution team
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of estimating processes and practices

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 1-5 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry
  • Thorough understanding of electrical systems, materials, and installation practices
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to perform detailed cost calculations
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and project teams
  • Familiarity with estimating software and tools, such as Groundplan & Simpro.
  • A relevant electrical trade qualification or engineering degree would be highly desirable
