We're a boutique importer and distributor of iconic Branded skincare, bath & pamper, and Home Fragrance products – including exclusive regional licenses from Disney, Warner Bros., and French Connection Home Fragrance.

We supply National Pharmacy groups, National Homeware retailers, Fashion and Pop-Culture stores. We operate a lean, deconstructed business model – with logistics, warehousing, and Customs fully outsourced in Melbourne. Our Perth office is home to a very small close-knit team , supported by our national warehousing and logistics team in Melbourne and a field sales team across Australia.

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-driven and accurate Bookkeeper & Business Support professional to join us and work closely with the Director for 18-25 hours per week. The role is initially part-time You'll manage core finance functions – Data entry into MYOB EXO BAS, payroll, Stock and Bank reconciliations, forecasting – and support general business and office duties including inbound calls, admin, reporting and office management, plus the occasional customer visit to our showrooms.

Working closely with the Finance Manager and the Director will give you insight into the international Design & Distribution trade and the rollercoaster of SME life. There's also potential for succession or long-term involvement as the business evolves.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Daily Banking & Stock data and maintain accurate records using MYOB EXO

  • Maintain relationship with all third parties with whom we share data electronically.

  • EXO looks nothing like other MYOB programs. It requires a genuine understanding of boo-keeping, and even though there are few GL transactions to be processed on a weekly timetable, as a result of a prior issue, we cannot just replicate transaction GL coding. The system produces Bank Recs, TB and Financial Statements. The incumbent will work closely with the Finance Manager to address historical reconciliation issues in Purchase Ledger and Stock costing, and will ensure continued accuracy going forward.
  • Prepare and submit monthly BAS (incl. deferred GST)
  • Process fortnightly payroll (very small team)
  • Weekly/monthly cash flow forecasting
  • Manage CommBiz payments
  • Petty cash control & complex payment allocations
  • Manage Amazon relationship and payment allocations & reconciliations
  • Maintain and report accurate debtor, creditor, HR, and stock records
  • Commission Accounting
  • Stock costing & margin analysis (Intermediate Excel)
  • Optional: contribute to social media posting and customer liaison
What You'll Bring
  • Must have full Australian work rights
  • Experience with accounting software: MYOB EXO (highly advantageous)
  • Training will be provided on MYOB EXO for suitable candidates
  • 5+ years' experience in bookkeeping OR 3+ years' financial management in an import/distribution SME
  • Candidates may meet experience requirements through either general bookkeeping experience or SME environment experience
  • Preference will be given to candidates with financial management experience in an SME environment
  • Strong preference for candidates with import/distribution experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate Excel)
  • Experience using AI for reports and correspondence (advantageous)
  • Fluent spoken and written English (essential)
  • Experience with costing and back costing of imported goods
  • Training will be provided on import/export costing for suitable candidates
  • Knowledge of import/export &logistics (helpful)
  • Either Certificate IV in Bookkeeping OR Certificate IV in Accounting is sufficient to meet qualification requirements
  • Current BAS Agent registration (helpful)
