Bloom Canteen is a fast‑paced café and hot‑food business serving fresh, wholesome meals, gourmet sandwiches, hot box offerings, and beverages to families, staff, and patients at Queensland Children's Hospital. We're proud to operate within a supportive hospital environment, working closely with both an on-site and off-site production kitchen to ensure top-quality food service every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the à la carte section and oversee the hot box offering
- Collaborate with onsite and offsite chefs and management to manage stock control, ordering, and forecasting for the café, à la carte, and hot box sections
- Coordinate with the off-site production kitchen to ensure stock levels and delivery align with daily needs
- Ensure high food quality, safety, and presentation standards in a fast-paced setting
- Support continuous improvement in kitchen operations and workflow
Required Qualifications
- Trade‑qualified chef with Australian certification
- Food Safety Supervisor certificate preferred
- Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven leadership in a café environment
- Capacity to thrive in a busy, dynamic setting and maintain high performance

Compensation & Benefits
- $67,500–$75,000 per year, full-time (Mon–Fri daytime)
- Superannuation & standard leave entitlements
