Bookkeeper / Payroll Officer

Part-time -3 days/week (flexible hours)

About Us:

Spartan First is a leading, national Occupational Health care provider. We provide a range of services to our clients, across a wide variety of industries, including mining and resources, construction, transport, logistics and local government.

The Role:

Due to an expansion of our services, we are seeking to employ an experienced (minimum of 2 years) Bookkeeper / Payroll Officer to join our finance team based at Welshpool on a part-time basis.

The payroll duties include the accurate and timely calculation and distribution of employee compensation, including wages, salaries, bonuses, and deductions, while adhering to all relevant tax laws and regulations.

Bookkeeping duties include accurate data entry, accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, reconciliations and reports using Xero Accounting Systems.

Skills and experience:

It is envisaged that the successful applicant will have experience in a similar position and will possess:

  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
  • Experience with Xero software - this is an essential requirement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including excel.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Previous experience using healthcare software (desirable but not essential as training will be given).
