The Role
We are looking for a part time bookkeeper to join our business services and advisory team
You will work closely with your team under the guidance and assistance of your Manager and Director.
The role will require you to work with our clients to assist them in meeting their bookkeeping needs across a range of accounting / bookkeeping systems.
The key responsibilities of the role include (but not limited to):
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing;
- Working directly with clients to build relationships and ensure complete collaboration with their needs;
- Providing general bookkeeping support to ensure the smooth running of client accounts;
- Processing Payroll (including meeting Single Touch Payroll & Superannuation SuperStream requirements);
- Assisting with tax preparation and lodgements as required; and
- Collaborating with the accounting team to provide exceptional client service.
Qualifications & Skills we are looking for
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably within an accounting firm;
- Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualifications (e.g. Certificate IV in Bookkeeping);
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, practices, and software (e.g. MYOB & Xero);
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel;
- Excellent Communication skills; and
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
