About the Role

Somerville Advisory Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Full-Time Bookkeeper to support our small, friendly team of accountants in West Perth. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across a variety of clients and industries, with the opportunity to contribute to a growing and collaborative accounting practice.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing bookkeeping for multiple business clients across various industries.
  • Preparing and lodging BAS, IAS, payroll, and superannuation obligations.
  • Reconciling bank, credit card, and loan accounts accurately and efficiently.
  • Assisting with year-end reconciliations and supporting accountants with client reporting.
  • Maintaining accurate client files and documentation.
  • Liaising directly with clients and the ATO regarding routine bookkeeping and compliance queries.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or assistant accountant (public practice experience preferred).
  • Sound understanding of GST, payroll, and superannuation.
  • Proficiency in Xero (experience with MYOB and QuickBooks is a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • A team player with great communication and client service skills.
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting/Bookkeeping (or equivalent experience).
